Residents and family can reserve space on our patio to safely visit with one another face-to-face, with plants placed near tables to help maintain social distancing. Messages for Loved Ones and Family Surprises

Southview Senior Living community member, Lila, was treated to a lovely surprise visit from her family for her birthday. Join us in wishing her a very happy birthday! ??

Grandma Dottie received chalk messages from all her grandchildren right outside her apartment. The sweet and artistic surprise really made her day!

Southview Festivities!

Our residents in memory care had a very special visit! The family of Pastor Kom’s wife, Michelle, was visiting for Thanksgiving and brought every resident a beautiful poinsettia for Christmas. They also sang some Christmas songs. What a wonderful surprise for our residents.

 

Here are pictures of our Christmas decorating throughout the building. What a great job our little elves did making our building look festive for the holidays! We had beautiful piano music performed by our resident, Shirley Dykstra. We also had holiday cookies, eggnog, and lots of fun. Plus, one tired activity director named Donna hiding under the tree!

Alzheimer’s BBQ!

August 7th, 2017

Southview Senior Living had an Alzheimer’s BBQ, what an amazing night! Not only did we have a BBQ, but a raffle as well. So many people donated prizes and gift cards for our raffle, and even donated money to the cause. We had so many people who came, around 160 or more, it was such a fun evening for everyone. We are really looking forward to next year. Thank you to all staff, families and friends, who made our BBQ and raffle, a success. You are all amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sunday Music Program

Mother’s Day Celebration

In honor of Mother’s Day we had a celebration at Southview Senior Living all thanks to the sunshine group who set it up! They are great, always willing to lend a hand. Elvis Presley even cut his show early in Vegas just to come and entertain the ladies. He wore his blue suede shoes and with the fake candles on the table we turned the lights down low so the ladies could do a candlelight tribute to him. They loved every minute with Elvis, they swooned and sang, and I think Elvis really enjoyed the ladies!

These two mom’s, Tina Weisenburger and Jamie Larson brought their children for a visit to Southview Senior Living to hand out Easter baskets that they made for our tenants. Tina’s children, Nolan & Brynn and Jamie’s children, Jameson and Jude, were so cute the tenants really enjoyed their visit and the baskets!
